Tulsa Citizen Corps Structure
Tulsa Project Impact is an organization which was created in 1998 through a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The program was designed to help create a disaster-resistant community through education, mitigation and demonstration projects designed to help minimize the effects of natural disasters, such as tornadoes and floods. Federal funding for Tulsa Project Impact has ended, but the program continues through Citizen Corps, Tulsa Partners, and the City of Tulsa Public Works Department. Tulsa Partners, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2001. The TPi Board of Directors garners resources to support the work of the Citizen Corps and Project Impact initiatives. Tulsa Citizens Corps is organized into seven programs:
Each of the seven programs has a program coordinator with offices in Citizens Crime Commission, City of Tulsa, Tulsa Fire Department, Communities Service Council, Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency, and the Tulsa Police Department. Click here to see our organizational chart (pdf).
