Volunteer, It's a Family Affair

Volunteerism is something that can be learned at a young age. Children who watch their parents participate in volunteer activities often grow up to volunteer themselves. Although Tulsa Citizen Corps volunteers have to be at least 16, there are volunteer opportunities you can share with your family. Families often enjoy our mitigation projects, special events, parades and service day activities.

Our Safe & Secure Families project helps families prepare their homes for a natural or manmade disaster, encouraging them to conduct disaster drills and take other steps to ensure their loved ones are ready for an emergency. These families also serve as a resource for local media stories.
