Who Are Our Volunteers?

Tulsa Citizen Corps welcomes all volunteers ages 16 and older. There are no specific experience or training requirements that need to be met. Citizen Corps will take care of any training you may need to perform volunteer tasks. Everyone can give of their time and talent!

Tulsa Citizen Corps currently has more than 1,500 people involved in the Citizen Corps group. These volunteers represent a broad spectrum of ages, ethnic backgrounds and professional and personal experiences. Many of the volunteers are retired, others work full-time and balance their volunteerism with work and family.

Some of the things our volunteers have in common though are a desire to become involved in their neighborhoods and their communities and the commitment to helping make the places they live safer and more prepared to deal with disasters.
