Volunteers become involved in Citizen Corps for a variety of reasons. Some people are interested in joining in the national homeland security effort on a local level, while others want to know how they can help their families stay safe in any kind of disaster. Some, such as first aid/CPR instructors, have skills they want to contribute, and some would like to learn new skills through our free training. Others speak languages or have multicultural experience they wish to share. And still others just want to help when they are needed in an emergency.
